Tiverton Repair Café
Currently the Repair Café runs on the 2nd Saturday of each month.
To keep up with the demand and prevent more items going to landfill, we need more volunteer repairers - all skills welcome, but we have an urgent need for repairers of electrical items - see more below.
The next Repair Cafe is on Saturday 11 December 9.30am-12.30pm at Tiverton Library.
"Please come early in the session if you can - this gives repairers more time to assess and work on your item, and you may be able to collect it later in the session."
"Sessions are busy so to avoid waiting, pre-book a slot, with details of the item needing repair - send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. We are staying at Tiverton Library this month - the indoor space is much better for carrying out repairs. We look forward to seeing you there."
Repair Café needs more repairers
"The more repairers we have, the more we can offer so that equipment and other items can be re-used."
The most needed repairer skills:
- electrical items (experienced, but no qualifications required as all items are PAT tested after repair)
- sewing and clothes repairs
- furniture and toy repairs
- also for making tea and for admin
