A family cycle ride
Can we make cycling an affordable and accessible option for everyone? Here are some great ideas and links for renting, recycling, reusing bikes.
One of the most affordable options is the Cycle to Work Scheme that gives you access to funds to purchase a bike and equipment through a salary sacrifice scheme. Then you pay (before tax) through your salary across an agreed time. If at the end of the term you wish to keep the bike you would pay any remaining balance to own the bike.
If you wish to purchase a bike and gear with your own funds, think about pre-used bikes, these can be purchased at a very reasonable cost from online market places and direct from some charitable organisations such as this ride on cycling in Exeter.
